Ellie's First Steps

Ellie has been free-standing for several weeks, as well as walking while holding onto something. She was even
doing "leg squats" out in the middle of the room, raising and lowering herself and maintaining her balance. Two days before her 10-Month Birthday,
while visiting Grandpa John and Grandma Taffy, she took her first steps.... and then practically took off running!
What a treat! Scooter is now officially a catch-me-if-you-can scooter. Here's how it all came about....
It started out in the Living Room when she walked to Grandma Taffy.
We then went outside to the porch and garden.
She loved the grass...
...and tried to run off with unbounded enthusiasm!
We played around on the porch....
...discovering neat things like sticks and leaves.
We also played in the dirt and mud in
the garden, as you can see by her clothes.
And we listened to the neighbor's dogs barking.
And we ended up in the sink, getting all the mud and dirt off...
...and telling stories about the new discoveries of the day.
