The Cake

Ellie had two birthday cakes: the big one for the party
and her own personal cake.
The big one...
...and the little one.
Ellie claps after everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her.
Now she watches suspiciously as her mother moves the small cake into position.
Now Ellie is being encouraged to just jump right in...
And she seems to be getting away with it (without getting in trouble)...
...so it's both hands in...
...and STILL nobody has hollered "NO!"
She thinks that's pretty neat ...
So she'll be a little confused when she tries something
like that again, with her regular dinner, I'll bet.
